Ms Goh holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Science from the University of Sunderland and obtained her PGCE from the University of Nottingham. Before joining Harrow Nanning, Ms Goh worked as a subject lead, homeroom teacher and coordinator in many excellent international schools in Malaysia. She has 12 years of rich experience in international curriculum teaching, development and class management. Ms Goh is full of energy and always passionate about students and helps them have the ability to face the future. She hopes to make learning fun with interesting exploration, project and STEAM classroom activities.

Ms Sibisi graduated in Mathematics, English and Business Studies and qualified to teach in the UK and China. Prior to joining Harrow Nanning, she worked as a primary school lead teacher and has 8 years of teaching experience. As a teacher, Ms Sibisi has always created a warm, friendly environment where students can freely express their thoughts and feelings. She is passionate about education and her desire to share knowledge with her students and make a difference in their lives through knowledge.

Mr Law graduated from Northumbria University in the United Kingdom with a major in Biomedical Sciences. He has a PGCE postgraduate degree in education from Newcastle University in the United Kingdom. Mr Law has 6 years of experience in early childhood and primary school education, and he hopes to integrate what he has learned into the classroom and create a fun and positive educational environment with the children.

Leon is a British Chinese who grew up in England and graduated from Imperial College London (2025 QS World University Rankings: 2nd) with a Bachelor of Science honours degree, and subsequently obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) postgraduate degree. Although English is his first language, he can also speak Chinese Mandarin and Cantonese fluently.

In 2021, whilst working at Charles Dickens Primary School (ranked 4th best in England), he obtained his Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) as well as Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

He loves music, singing, sports and movies. He has won awards in over twenty local and international singing competitions in the past, and appeared on television in singing contests organised by Hong Kong’s TVB and ATV.

He also represented UK Chinese youth football team to participate in the Chinese World Cup.

Class teacher & Head of Primary Academics

Thomas Robert James earned his teaching certification through the state of Florida in the USA and a CELTA through Cambridge University in the UK. Although he began his 20+ years in education working with students with special needs, he has also served as Housemaster of a British boarding house and has taught Drama, ESL, English, and multiple IGCSE courses. He has worked in education in the USA, Europe, Africa, and Southeast Asia, and he is very happy to begin his third academic year here at Harrow Nanning.
 
Thomas also has a strong background in the performing arts, and his passion for directing, acting, and singing is often apparent in the classroom. He believes that applying dramatic techniques to the classroom setting can bring out the best in his students, as these are the same skills students need to be clear and confident communicators both on and off the stage. 
Jeanna Fergusson

Originally trained in New Zealand, Jeanna is a dedicated and highly qualified educator with a Bachelor of Education and Diploma of Teaching from New Zealand, as well as UK Qualified Teacher Status. Jeanna is a passionate and experienced Early Years and Primary teacher who brings over 25 years of international teaching experience across Europe and Asia, including Sweden, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Malaysia. Jeanna specialises in play-based, inquiry-led learning and has a strong background in working with EAL and SEN students.

Germano Le Roux

Mr. Le Roux has over thirteen years of teaching experience across a range of international school and educational systems. He holds a Master of Arts in Education with a focus on innovation in teaching and learning, an iPGCE in Secondary Education from Liverpool John Moores University, and a PGCE in Primary Studies from Manchester Metropolitan University. He holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the United Kingdom as well.

He has extensive experience delivering the Cambridge, Primary and Secondary curricula as well as teaching IB MYP, ESL, and academic English programmes. In addition to his classroom teaching, he has served as a Cambridge speaking examiner and teacher trainer, conducting nearly 1200 speaking assessments for Cambridge English qualifications.
Outside the classroom, he is a qualified sports coach, holding the England Rugby Coaching Award and ICC Cricket Coach Level 2. He is also a keen foodie who enjoys exploring new cuisines, particularly spicy foods.

Chris Booth holds a BA in 3D Animation from the University of Lincoln, a PGCE in General Primary from Manchester Metropolitan University, and an in Education from Oxford Brookes University .He has contributed to the production of international animated films such as Corpse Bride and Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. 

With over a decade of experience in international school education, he has taught primary curricula in cities including Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Zhuhai. He specialises in using AI and digital tools to enhance classroom interactivity and, drawing on his background in the creative industries and educational theory, designs innovative interdisciplinary courses.

Andrew Gardner graduated from University College London with an LL.B. Degree in Law with Advanced Studies. After working in the legal and entertainment sectors for many years, Andrew transitioned into the teaching profession and completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with Nottingham University. As a lifelong learner, Andrew has since been awarded a Master’s in Education (M.Ed.) degree and is currently pursuing further postgraduate studies with the National Institute of Teaching and Education.
Andrew has developed a child-centred, holistic approach to education throughout his six years of experience as a primary school homeroom teacher at two prestigious private schools in the Shanghai area. He is committed to fostering a positive learning environment and promoting a classroom culture of inclusivity and mutual respect.

Edward Marriott-Lodge joins Harrow Nanning with 11 years of teaching experience across Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Qatar, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Venezuela. He holds a BA in Politics from the University of Essex, an MSc in Globalisation and Development from SOAS, University of London, as well as a PGCE and an MA in Education from the University of Nottingham.

Passionate about fostering children’s confidence, curiosity, and independence, Edward creates a safe and inspiring classroom environment grounded in clear routines, high expectations, and mutual respect. He values strong partnerships with parents and the wider school community as essential to effective learning.

Ms Guo graduated from Beijing International Business Administration College, majoring in English culture. She worked in Beijing Tsinghua international school for many years and Zhejiang public middle school as homeroom teacher. She was awarded “Outstanding Teacher” of Beijng foreign students educational institution. She got TESOL and the certification of instructor for family education.

Ms Huang holds a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of East Anglia in the UK. Before joining Harrow Nanning, she served as a Chinese teacher in the Confucius Institute of Portland State University of Oregon in the US, the Philippines and the United Kingdom. After returning to China, she worked as a bilingual TA in a top international school in Guangzhou. Ms Lining has a TEFL certification and has received Montessori and Second Language Teaching training in the United States. In her over 10 year education career, she has accumulated rich experience in bilingual teaching, she understands the key points of students’ learning at each stage, and is able to use her rich pedagogical knowledge to help students set goaPS and make progress.

Joanne holds a bachelors degree in Science and masters in Teaching from the University of Melbourne. She planned and implemented inquiry project for students to support their sense of equity in 2020 when she was in the room leader and program coordinator role, this later gained her the full registration qualification as an early year teacher with the Victoria Institution of Teaching (VIT). 

Joanne believes all children have the capabilities to reach their level of achievement and she is passionate in supporting children to explore their full capacities. She hopes that her love of children and professional experience would make a positive addition to Harrow.

Ms Nicky Liang Hold a bachelors degree in Education, Community and Organization in University of Washington, master degree in Early Childhood Education in Chinese University of Hong Kong. She has studied in the U.S. for six years, her internship experience in an American public primary school and her own education experience have made her more familiar with the similarities and differences between Chinese and Western culture and education. 

She believes in education, in which everyone has equal rights and through education, students will be able to think critically. A teacher, should act as an assistant in the student-led learning process, helping them find the learning method that really suits them.

Ms Lee Li holds a Master’s degree in Education from Arizona State University and has also undertaken postgraduate studies in TESOL at La Trobe University, Australia. With over ten years’ experience in English teaching, she is one of the founding members of Harrow Nanning. Ms Lee is dedicated to creating a harmonious, supportive and positive classroom environment that nurtures pupils’ genuine interest in English. She is particularly adept at organising and consolidating key knowledge, enabling pupils to strengthen their learning with confidence and clarity.

Ms Liang has fifteen years of experience in teaching Chinese at home and abroad. She has worked as a Chinese teacher in international schools in the United States and Thailand. She understands the education system and educational teaching characteristics of different countries, is familiar with the psychological needs of students of different age groups, has rich experience in teaching Chinese, and has mastered the skills of teaching Chinese in different cultural backgrounds.

Ms Liang is good at calligraphy and painting, and can integrate Chinese culture teaching well into daily education to enhance students’ interest in learning in order to stimulate students’ learning initiative and achieve better learning results.”

Mr Adeoba holds  a first-class Master of Science (MSc.) degree in Aeronautical engineering and a first-class Bachelor of Science (BSc. Hons) degree in Software engineering from the University of East London (UEL). He was an associate member of the Royal Aeronautical Society in London before he turned his attention to the teaching and learning of Mathematics in 2007. He obtained the post graduate certificate in secondary education (PGCE) at UEL in the same year.

He has been a Mathematics instructor for about seventeen years and in that period, he has had the privilege of teaching determined and extremely motivated students, some of whom have gone on to study at Ivy league and Russell group universities.He believes that Mathematics is best learnt when abstract Mathematical concepts are effectively linked to real-life scenarios and real-life experiences.

Mr Steven McGowan holds a degree in Mathematics from the University of Dundee and an iPGCE in Secondary Mathematics from the University of East London. Prior to becoming a full-time educator, he spent fifteen years working in engineering and design, which greatly enriched his practical understanding of mathematics.

With around thirty years of teaching and tutoring experience, including the last fifteen years in China, Mr McGowen has worked with students from primary through to postgraduate level across a range of curricula.

He is a responsible, kind, and supportive teacher who values collaboration and meaningful learning experiences. Mr McGowen believes that students thrive when learning is both purposeful and enjoyable, and he strives to create a classroom environment where academic growth is paired with an appropriate sense of fun.

Neil holds a bachelor degree in English in East China University of Science and Technology. He spent 2 years teaching junior high students English in the border between China and Myanmar. After this, he became a Coach Mentor in famous International Schools in China and accompanied students to grow better in both academics and student life.

Mr. Lucchi holds a master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language from the University of Nottingham and a PGCE with QTS from the University of Buckingham. With Cambridge CELTA and DELTA qualifications in English language teaching, he has taught English for Academic Purposes and IELTS at several universities across China.

His teaching approach integrates academic expertise and a deep understanding of language acquisition theory to foster a supportive classroom environment where students develop their language proficiency through meaningful communication and interactive tasks.

US Science Teacher & US Coordinator

Mr Godwin Okochi holds a BSc. Energy Engineering degree as well as a M.Sc. Power Engineering and Engineering Thermophysics degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. In addition, Godwin also holds a 120 hours TESOL teaching certificate as well as a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from Liverpool John Moore’s University, U.K.

Godwin has more than seven years’ experience teaching IGCSE, AS and A Level Physics and Maths to students. Before moving to Harrow Nanning, Godwin taught Physics and Maths at Shanghai where he oversaw students score excellent results and joining some of the UK’S top universities such as Cambridge, UCL, etc.

Godwin believes that all children are unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. He strives to create this type of atmosphere where students can meet their full potential.

Finally, Godwin is a very enthusiastic, energetic classroom leader with a good sense of humor, and brings these qualities with him to school every day.

Ms Luo graduated from materials science and engineering with 7 years of experience in technical laboratory management, new material research and development. Ms Luo has a solid knowledge of Physics and Chemistry. During her tenure in Harrow Nanning, she has led her students to participate in multiple provincial and municipal science and technology innovation competitions where students were awarded invention patents, technological innovation, and other awards. 

Sohaib Qureshi

US Chemistry Teacher

Mr Sohaib Qureshi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from King’s College London, a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Cambridge, and is qualified to teach Science in the UK.

With extensive experience in local British schools, he excels in teaching Chemistry and Biology to senior students, as well as at the IG/A-Level.

Upper School Biology Teacher

George holds a BSc in Range Management, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (Biology) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Management. He is currently pursuing an MSc in Educational Management at Strathmore University.

He brings to Harrow over ten years of international experience in the teaching of Biology, most of it in Mainland of China. His forte cuts across IGCSE, A level and the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBDP). He is also a seasoned examiner of IBDP Biology and an OCR Assessment Specialist.

Mr Andrew John Shaw holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Education in Science from Canterbury Christ Church College and a B.Sc. Hons in Biology from the University of Portsmouth. Academically, he has also passed the NPQSL program from University College London.

With over 27 years of teaching experience, Andrew has taught Science across various age groups from 11 to 18 years old throughout his career. His responsibilities have consistently included KS3 Science, GCSE Biology, Chemistry, and Physics (both triple and double award). He has also delivered A-level Biology, Human Biology, and Applied Science. Beyond classroom instruction, Mr. Shaw has held significant leadership and administrative roles. He has taken on significant responsibilities in curriculum provision and expansion , and in pastoral care. His experience includes managing departments , monitoring digital platform KPIs , and acting as a system administrator for various digital platforms. His commitment to education extends to mentoring trainee teachers and leading professional development initiatives. He has also been involved in extracurricular activities and projects, including coordinating an environmental project and other award programs.

Andrew’s educational approach prioritizes fostering confidence and maximizing student potential through engaging and stimulating learning environments. He believes in connecting abstract concepts to real-life experiences and adapting to evolving pedagogies to ensure effective learning for all students.

Charles holds a Bachelor of Education Arts degree, but he is also in his final stage for his Master of Arts in Music Education. Charles has been a Music Teacher in International schools for the last 14 years. He is passionate about Music Technology, but he is also talented in Music Composition and Performance of both Instrumental and Vocal music. He previously taught in Kenya, Malawi and he came to China in 2019 to teach in Sichuan Province, having served as Head Department and leading Music departments in various schools to greater heights.

Ms Mark has a degree in Music from the University of Surrey, a post- graduate diploma in Special Education from the University of Birmingham, and has recently completed a master’s degree in World and Traditional Music at the University of Sheffield. She has been teaching for 18 years and has served as Head of Music in a special educational needs school in London. 

Ms Mark has previously worked in China, having taught music at an international school in Shanghai. She plays the piano, recorder and tenor horn. Ms Mark aims to engage all students in her lessons and to create a life-long passion for music. She tries to do this by appealing to different types of learners by using, for example; photographs, physical games, realia and singing. In her free time, Ms Mark enjoys reading, swimming and running.

Ms Snyman graduated from the North West University of Potchefstroom, South Africa. She obtained her Post Graduate in Education from the University of Derby, UK. With more than seven years of teaching experience, she has been teaching in China for six years. She has a wealth of cross-phase teaching experience within English and Physical Education.

Additionally, she holds a National Professional Qualification in Leading Teaching (University College London, UK) and obtained Level 2 Certification for delivering Duke of Edinburgh.

Mr Vismantas Zaras holds a degree in Sports and Exercise Science with a specialism in Strength and Conditioning from Middlesex University, followed by a PGCE with QTS from the University of East London.

Since 2019, he has been teaching in Thailand across multiple year levels, serving not only as a PE teacher but also taking on wider roles such as Head of House, Duke of Edinburgh Coordinator, and Careers Lead. Over the past six years, he has had the privilege of supporting students both in and out of the classroom, helping them build confidence, resilience, and a lifelong love for physical activity.

Mr. Zaras’s teaching philosophy centres on inspiring students through the power of team sports and promoting positive health and fitness habits. He believes in creating inclusive and engaging environments where all students feel empowered to lead active and healthy lives.

Mr Alan Clark is a passionate educator with 12 years of experience and a professional football coach with 13 years on the pitch. Daria is an artist and art educator from the UK. She holds a degree in Design from the Glasgow School of Art in Scotland and has a rich background in the creative industry, focusing on interior architecture. Her teaching journey has taken her across the UK, Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam, where she has specialized in visual arts, including painting and printmaking, for students of all ages and levels. Additionally, Daria teaches graphic design, interior design, and product design, utilizing various modern tools and software.

Outside of teaching, Daria is passionate about art and web design. She also enjoys long hikes and Latin dancing.

Daria’s teaching philosophy centers on the belief that everyone has an innate artistic talent waiting to be discovered. As a teacher, she aims to provide students with the tools and guidance they need to express their ideas independently. She encourages students to explore different media and techniques, draw inspiration from their surroundings and the masters of art, and develop their unique artistic voices.

Mr. Colin graduated from the University of Arts in Amsterdam, The Netherlands with a bachelor’s degree educator in Visual Arts. After his graduation he worked at one of the biggest contemporary art museums of The Netherlands as a curator, but switched to education to follow his real passion which is teaching art.
Currently he has 15 years of teaching experience with 9 years being the Head of the Art Department at different international schools in China.

He has extensive experiences teaching at many levels, from grade 1 to grade 12 including the Ontario Curriculum, International Baccalaureate, the AP Curriculum and Cambridge IGCSE.
Besides leading several Art Departments, he was the Head of T.O.K. and the Event Coordinator of International Schools as well.

As a coach for future art academy students, he has been successful in building up a portfolio with his students and helped them with the admission process. Many of his students got accepted at the world’s top ranked art universities.

His students won multiple awards in different competitions. Artworks created by his students under his instruction were displayed in the Chateau de Foix in France and in the Louvre in Paris.

MsSong holds a bachelor degree majoring in English Language and Literacy. In addition,she is qualified to be a high school English teacher. She was used to work in Tourism industry and was responsible for the reception for the visitation of Secretary of State‘s family to travel. Furthermore, she has the teaching experience of well-known English graded picture books and advocates the reading of family parent-child English picture books. Rich experience and work experience make her confident in guiding children to read.

Ms Sabrina Hou graduated from the University of Birmingham, UK with a master’s degree in International Management and Policy in Education. She is a secondary school teacher and holds a qualification of University Counselor. Ms Sabrina Hou has over 30 years of teaching and educational management experience. Before joining Harrow Nanning, Ms Sabrina Hou served as the Academic Head  and the Director of College Counselling  in prestigious schools in Beijing and Jiangsu. Ms Sabrina is familiar with  the requirements of university admissions  and supports students to prepare for the university application effectively.  Under her guidance, many students entered top 50 universities in the United States and the G5 group in the UK to study.

Ms Wang holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from Beijing Normal University and a Master’s degree in Applied Psychology. She is a nationally certified psychological counsellor (Level 2) in China, with over 2,500 hours of counselling experience. Her practice focuses particularly on supporting the mental health and wellbeing of adolescents. Ms Wang has worked extensively across a range of settings, including the Red Cross, a leading provincial general hospital, human resources consultancies, and private schools. She brings a wealth of experience in psychological assessment and intervention, especially in helping young people cope with academic pressure, regulate their emotions, and navigate interpersonal relationships.

Ms Ou holds a master’s degree in international Chinese language teaching from The Education University of Hong Kong. She has worked as a Chinese teacher and headmaster in renowned schools in Guangdong Province, where she was responsible for Chinese teaching, researching courses and PBL courses. She has also taught as a Chinese teacher at the International Institute of Chinese Language and Culture of East China Normal University and the Chinese Department of Masaryk University in the Czech Republic, and has extensive experience in bilingual work.

Ms Ou holds a high school Chinese teacher qualification, a high school education teaching certificate and a family education instructor certificate, and is qualified as a school counselor.She is committed to inspiring each student to grow and develop on their own, and is highly regarded by students and parents alike.

Before joining Harrow Nanning, she worked as a Chinese teacher in a famous middle school in China, and her classes were always in the top of the grade level. Ms Chen has always adhered to the attitude of “lifelong learning” and pursued excellence in teaching and personally. She has won the first prize in many teacher competitions.

Ms Tan holds a B.A. degree in Chinese International Education and has five years of frontline teaching experience. She has worked as a Chinese teacher and a headmaster in a well-known school in Guangdong Province, and during her teaching period, she led a class that won the first place in the district in Chinese performance. She is an outstanding member of the Guangdong Provincial Key Project Research Group, and has been awarded as an outstanding instructor in the National Language Literacy Competition for many times, and specialises in broadcasting and recitation.

She believes that language teachers should be travelers and connoisseurs of the Chinese language world, respecting each student’s reading experience, acting as mentors for the development of the child’s spirit and spiritual growth, guiding the student’s perception and aesthetics of the world, helping to shape his or her personality and mind, and inspiring the birth of romance and poetry within him or her.

She has served as a Chinese teacher, head teacher and director of the Moral Education Department of well-known primary schools in Jilin Province and Guangxi autonomous region. In her 25 years of education career, she has won many national and provincial education awards. She won the “excellent instructor Award”, “the first prize of national high-quality class” and the scientific research achievement award for many times, and won the title of “National Education and Teaching Backbone”.

With over ‌12 years of experience‌ teaching ‌A-Level Business & Economics‌, he is also well-versed in ‌IB Humanities and Social Sciences‌. He has successfully guided students in various ‌international business competitions and simulation projects‌, earning multiple accolades in both teaching and competitions.

Mr Van Der Veen holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Business Management from Harris University. He then returned to South Africa where he spent a year supporting at a school being as a sports coach and a Teaching Assistant. He developed a passion for coaching and developing children’s skills. Mr Van Der Veen then spent 18 months working at a school in China as an International Teacher specialising in Physical Education. He then went on to complete his 120 Hour TEFL Course.

Keenan is a good team member who works well with children and teachers to assist with individual needs and support. He is passionate in guiding the children to reach their full potential. Keenan believes in good discipline and regular routines, making it easier for children to navigate school life. He ensures a vibrant, positive pastoral and academic experience while being a part of the Boarding House. Keenan is looking forward to working with the Harrow family.
