Art

Within the framework of holistic education, Harrow Nanning encourages students to create boldly and explore freely. Under the guidance of teachers, students gradually come into contact with works of art from different genres, expand their horizons, and improve their aesthetic appreciation abilities.

Recently, the art teacher led the upper school students to jointly create a “Wall of Honour for Works.” The Wall of Honor displays their “Hand-Painted Cans” series of works. This series of works is inspired by the most iconic “Campbell’s Soup Can” by Andy Warhol, the American pop art master. During the creation process, students not only learned art knowledge, but also continuously improved their painting skills in practice.

In 2023, students from Harrow Nanning also participated in numerous art competitions. In the UN75 Art Exhibition (the Celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the Founding of the United Nations) held in Beijing, the works of 29 students from the school were included and exhibited. In the 2023 Forbes China — Youth Artists 100 Competition, 2 students were shortlisted for the top 100Thomas Zhao G3 “Memory Fragments “and Sylvia Lin G5 “Dreamland”, while 8 students won the Outstanding Work Award.
